Where are you located &
what areas do you service?

We are located in Canada’s beautiful Niagara region and service the entirety of the region. With a home-base in Thorold, ON, any travel within 25 km radius is complementary.

How do I book a picnic?

To book a picnic, click on the Book tab above and complete the Booking Request Form. Our team will reach out within 2 business days to provide you with a quote.

Once you have approved all of the details of your event and the quote provided, we will email our Terms & Conditions Form for you to complete and a $100 deposit will be required to reserve your spot.

You will be emailed an invoice requesting that you to pay your remaining balance 7 days prior to your scheduled event. After that, all you have to do is show up to your picnic and enjoy!

Can I customize a picnic package?

Of course you can! We have put together a few picnic packages that cater to certain types of celebrations, however, we understand that the add-ons included in those packages may not be ideal for you and that’s okay! Just let us know what you’d like to add/remove from your package and we can adjust your quote accordingly.

What forms of payment are accepted?

The deposit and remaining balance are accepted in the following forms of payment: e-transfer, credit card, and/or visa debit.

How far in advance should
I book my picnic?

We require a minimum of 2 weeks notice to plan and prepare for your picnic. Please keep in mind that weekends fill up quickly, especially in the summer.

For more detailed and/or lengthy events such as weddings, proposals, corporate events, baby showers, etc., we highly recommend booking at least one month in advance to ensure you reserve your most ideal date and time.

When can I schedule my picnic?

We accept bookings Thursday-Friday from 6pm-sundown and Saturday-Sunday from 10am-sundown. Picnics must conclude 30-minutes before sunset to allow our team to clean up with adequate daylight.

What happens on the day of my picnic?

On the morning of your picnic, you will receive a friendly text reminder. If there are weather-related concerns, rescheduling or relocation options will be discussed at this time.

For events in previously agreed-upon public places (such as a park), a final location will be pinned and texted to you 30-60 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.

Please arrive on time and not prior to your scheduled start time. Please be aware that we will not adjust your scheduled time slot for any late arrivals, meaning you will lose out on some precious picnic time.

How long is a picnic?

Picnics are priced based on a
2-hour rental and tablescaping is based on a 3-hour rental. Additional hours are available as an add-on, for a maximum of 4 hours in total.

If you intend on leaving your picnic prior to your scheduled end time, we require a text or phone call a minimum of 30-minutes prior. Until we arrive on location, you are liable for all of Niagara Picnic & Event Co.’s property.

What happens in the
event of bad weather?

As we all know, Niagara weather can be unpredictable. When you book a picnic, we will request an alternative indoor location that your picnic can move to in the event that the weather conditions are going to be unfavourable. If your event must be outdoors, we will work with you to reschedule to an alternative date. Please keep in mind that there is a chance that your selected alternative date may be booked already and we may be unable to accommodate.

Special Note: Rescheduling a planned event with guests can be stressful, especially for surprise events such as birthday parties or proposals. It is highly recommended that you plan for an indoor alternative. Indoor picnics can be just a charming and special as outdoor!

What are the cancellation
and rescheduling policies?

We understand that life doesn’t always go to plan. If for any reason you need to reschedule or cancel your picnic, requests may be made up to 7 days prior to your event.

Please note that if you cancel your picnic, the $100 deposit is non-refundable to account for time spent planning, preparing, and purchasing supplies for your event.

Do you provide food and beverages?

Beverages such a water or sparkling juice are included in all picnic packages. Please pay close attention to the type of picnic package you select, as some packages include food and others do not.

We do offer food selections such as charcuterie boxes/boards, chocolate-covered strawberries, and sweet treats that can be added to any picnic package. We also offers a local food pick-up and delivery option (within city limits), where we would go directly to your restaurant of your choice, pick-up your food and bring it back to your picnic.

Can I bring my own
food and beverages?

Of course you can! We offer simple, elegant, and easy to eat foods for your convenience. If you choose to bring your own food, please remember to take it with you when you leave.

Please note that alcoholic beverages are not permitted in public parks and beaches. When it comes to alcohol consumption on private property or at a winery, it’s fair game!
